Now we are about to arrive at another significant milestone. CAM International officially becomes Camino Global in three days.

On Monday afternoon, the CAM home office staff, together with current and former missionaries in the Dallas area, will gather to celebrate the launch of Camino. Please join us in prayer between 1:00 and 2:30 pm Central Daylight Time. We will use some of this time to corporately thank God for the 122-year legacy of CAM International (known as the Central American Mission prior to 1975), as well as seek Him for Camino’s future impact on a global level.

The entire missionary family will have a similiar opportunity to reflect on our legacy and envision the future when we all gather together for a week in mid-July for Convocation 2012, in Estes Park, Colorado.

Beginning next week, emails and other communications will have a new look and feel.

Over the last couple of months, the focus of our rebranding effort has been to create a logo design that captures the Camino Global identity in a visually compelling way.

The first question to answer was,”What (if anything) is wrong with keeping the current CAM logo?” A difficult question! The branding team explored various designs that retained or refreshed the current logo. Although that logo has served CAM well for many years, the more we considered it, the less it seemed to fit the concept of ‘camino’ as a shared journey.

Therefore, other designs were pursued, which emphasized both a shared journey and the increasingly global scope of the mission. And the logo has been finalized.

So without further ado, you may now open the envelope…

Radiant will work with us to create the Camino Global logo, print media pieces (templates for prayer letters, letterhead, magazine, etc), and our website make-over.

We worked with Radiant in 2006 to design our current CAM International site, and we were very pleased with their service and with our website! We are excited to be working with them again, and to get a chance to maintain our long-standing relationship.

The process, which begins this week, will carry us to the launch in Spring 2012. The logo should be the first part of the equation, followed by print media pieces, and finally a new website.

Check back here and on our new Facebook page for more updates.

And you can click here to read what Radiant wrote about working with us!
